Blood Volume Formula

The Blood volume calculator uses two formulas for calculating the blood volume of your body.

Formula One:
BV = ABV x Weight;

while
BV = blood volume.
ABV = average blood volume.
Weight = body weight in kg.
The average blood volume is 65 ml/kg for women and 75 ml/kg for men.

Therefore,
If a male weighs 150 pounds (68.04 kg), he has a blood volume of 5103 milliliters.
It is calculated as:
75 x 68.04 = 5103 ml

For Men:
BV = 0.3669 x Height³ + 0.03219 x Weight + 0.6041
For Women:
BV = 0.3561 x Height³ + 0.03308 x Weight + 0.1833

While
Height = body height in meters
Weight = body weight in kg.
