The regular area of a triangle is calculated by base and height. Heron's formula is calculated by three sides of a triangle without knowing the height.
Following is the Heron's formula:
Area=√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c), where
s = semi-perimeter of the triangle
a = one side of the triangle
b = second side of the triangle
c = third side of the triangle
The forumla of semi perimeter of triangle:
s=(a+b+c)/2.
The perimeter of a triangle is calculated by adding three sides altogether,
therefore semi perimeter is calculated as half of the perimeter.
