Following are the pool volume formulas on how to find the volume of a pool based on its shape.
1. Rectangle Pool Volume = Length * Width * (Deep End + Shallow End)/2 * 7.5,
where 7.5 is the approximate conversion from feet to gallon. We take the average of deep end and shallow end of the pool and multiply by width and length to get the total volume.
2. Circle Pool Volume = 3.14 * radius2 * (Deep End + Shallow End)/2 * 7.5,
where radius is half of the diameter.
3. Triangle Pool Volume = (Base * Height)/2 * (Deep End + Shallow End)/2 * 7.5,
The area of a triangle is base times height and divided by 2. This is half the area of a rectangle.
