How to calculate angular velocity?

Use the angular velocity formula shown below on how to calculate angular velocity.

Angular Velocity Formula

The angular velocity formula is
ω=θ/T.
θ is the angle, and T is the time used for the angle to rotate.
θ=θ1-θ2, if angle change from θ1 to θ2, therefore the formula is
ω=(θ1-θ2)/T.
If the angle changes unit in radians and time is in seconds, it will result in radians per second. Radians per second is the standard unit for angular velocity.

For example, to calculate velocity if it takes 5 seconds for the angle to rotate 90°.
First, we need to convert 90° to radian. To convert degree to radian, multiply by π and then divide by 180.
90xπ/180 = 90x3.1415/180 = 1.57 Radians
Then we apply the numbers to the angular velocity formula
ω=1.57/5=0.314 Radians per Second.
