A higher signal to noise ratio (SNR) indicates a better sound quality compared to background noise,
whereas a lower SNR implies a noisier background.
The formula for signal to noise ratio is:
SNR = 20log( Signal / Noise)
Using the given formula, where the signal measures 100 volts and the noise measures 34 volts,
the signal to noise (SNR) can be calculated:
SNR = 20 x log ( 100 / 12 )
= 18.4
